The Garden Grove, California Unified School District did an extensive update and remodel of the Garden Grove High School. The resulting stormwater management requirement to meet local NPDES regulations was addressed by installing a RainSpace Stormwater Detention system under a parking lot and driveway. Two side by side interconnected chambers were placed under the active vehicle area with provision for heavy truck loading as well as faculty and student vehicles. RainSpace was chosen by the civil engineer as the lowest cost system to install easily and quickly, in the limited time window dictated by the school schedule.
